Dewberry
Rubus trivialis

Prickly, trailing plant produces flavorful blackberry-like fruit that are delicious plain or in pies and jams. The plant provides nectar for insects, and fruit for birds and mammals. Grows well in central Texas. Listed in the Native Plant Database of the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
