Malus domestica “Gala”

Wonderful dessert apple from New Zealand. Crisp, nice blend of sweetness and tartness, rich flavor. Skin reddish-orange over yellow. Early harvest, about 140 - 160 days after bloom. Self-fruitful, and a good pollinator for other varieties. Fruit size of this variety appears to be dependent on consistent moisture.
