Elaeagnus umbellate

This shrub, a member of the Autumn Olive family, grows up to 12 feet high with equal spread. Prolific producer of shiny red berries high in lycopene. Berries are suitable for drinks, jams, syrups. Seeds can be dried and eaten. Nitrogen-fixer – aids growth of adjacent plants. Tolerates poor soils.
