Red Skinned fruit of medium size. Arils are Red. Very soft seeded. Matures in September (early season). Has a sweet taste with just a little of the pomegranate tart flavor. Has some resistance to cracking. In test comparisons showed much less cracking problems than many other varieties. Also has a closed Calyx resulting less problems with heart rot. Little fungal problems in a mixed orchard with other varieties that have heavy fungal problems. High yield on young plants. Many start bearing in the second year (if large starter plants are planted). Has some cold hardiness problems but has stood 12 degrees F. with no damage. This is a commercial variety with high potential.
