Blue Brush
Ceanothus thyrsiflorus “Victoria”

Blue Brush is an heirloom plant that was popular during the Victorian era. In the modern landscape, this shrub is an exceptional choice for an evergreen hedge. The shrub can reach 10 to 12 feet at maturity, yet can also be easily maintained. Minor pruning will enhance branching growth on the shrub which enhances the density of shrub growth. This is a hardy and highly viable shrub in USDA Zones 8a-10b and drought-tolerant once established. For best results, site this shrub where it can receive good drainage and partial sun. The blooms are a lovely medium-blue and appear in mid to late spring. It is a bee, butterfly, and hummingbird treat!
