‘Anna’ Apple

The Anna apple tree was developed in Israel, and has an exceptionally low chilling requirement, i.e. hours below 45 degrees F. It is partially self-fertile, which means it will bear fruit without a pollinator, but does better with a pollinator such as 'Dorsett Golden'. Trees produce when 2-3 years old, and apples store well. Fruit is crisp, with green and red skin, ripening in late June / early July. Great for fresh eating, pies, or canning.

200-300 chill hours; USDA Zones 6-9
