Almond, Hall’s Hardy
Prunus amygdalus

Reaches 15 to 25 feet in height, with stunning pink blossoms. Produces large, thin-shelled nuts with excellent flavor. (The “nut” is actually a drupe, with the seed being the edible part.) Shares the subgenus amygdalus with the peach, and grows wherever peaches can be grown. Drought-resistant.
